GALESBURG—An informational meeting for students interested in transferring to the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign’s College of Agricultural, Consumer and Environmental Sciences (ACES) will take place from 6:30-8 p.m. March 26 in the Welcome Center in Building B on Carl Sandburg College’s Main Campus in Galesburg, 2400 Tom L. Wilson Blvd.

Students of all ages are invited to learn about the college, how to apply and speak with staff and current students about life at UIUC. Light refreshments will be provided.

Sandburg and the College of ACES have a partnership in place for students to graduate from Sandburg with an Associate in Science degree with an emphasis in agriculture and easily transfer their courses to the College of ACES. Students follow their Sandburg curriculum toward their associate degree while also taking a total of 12 credit hours of agriculture classes online through UIUC. While completing this program doesn’t guarantee admission to the university, it does give them the advantage of being familiar with the College of ACES and its coursework.

To reserve a spot or for more information, contact Rick Eddy, director of admissions and records at Sandburg, at 309.341.5324 or reddy@sandburg.edu.
