Cruisin the Road with Brandon is July 26

Cruisin the Road With Brandon is Saturday, July 26 and begins at VFW Post 1571 in Aledo.

The cost for motorcycles is $10 and $5 for each passenger. Signup is from 8-10 a.m. with departure at 10 a.m.

The ride is approximately 88 miles. It returns to the Aledo VFW for dinner at 4 p.m. The ride will include entrance into a military installation and motorcyclists will need the proper gear: helmet, gloves, boots that cover the ankles, long sleeves (shirt or jacket) and a reflective vest.

If you do not have these items do not worry there will be a parking area where you can wait for the group as they go.

There will be a donation dinner following the ride at the VFW.

Donald and Joyce Howlett would like everyone to join them by honoring and celebrating the life of their son Brandon. Brandon enlisted in the Navy in 2006 and became a Fleet Marine Force Corpsman. he deployed in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom and participated in more than 80 missions, to include 50 EOD Nine Line Responses. Brandon loved motorcycles and classic cars and his mother's wish was to embrace his life with a ride of remembrance.

All proceeds from the event will benefit The Fisher House.
