Obituary- Ruth E. Hart

Ruth E. Hart, 71, of North Henderson, passed away Saturday Dec. 31, 2014, 3:03 a.m. at her home. She was born Dec. 29, 1943 in Galesburg, the daughter of Samuel L. and Maude Maher Patterson. She married Dick Hart on Aug. 2, 1964.

She is survived by her husband Dick of North Henderson, one daughter Kim (Dan) Patterson of Osh Kosh, Wis.; two sons Rich (Danielle) Hart of Austin, Texas, and Rob (fiancé- Chloe Mulligan) Hart of Minneapolis Minn.; 5 grandchildren Natalie, Leah, and Brady Patterson, Sammy and Esther Hart; one sister Marlene Carlson of Anaheim, Calif. ; two sister-in-laws Celia Hart of Aledo, and Alice Patterson of Monmouth; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, and 1 brother (Sam Patterson)

She graduated from Alexis High School. She received her associates degree in nursing with honors from Carl Sandburg College she also had a degree from Browns Business College. She was an active auditor for the Village Baptist Church where she was a member since 1982. She will be remembered as a loving Saint in Christ by her family.

Funeral service were Wednesday Jan. 7, 2015, 2 p.m., at the Village Baptist Church, Alexis, Rev. Terry Johnston officiated. Visitation was one hour prior from 1-2 p.m. Burial took place in the Mt Vernon Cemetery, North Henderson. Memorials may be made to the Village Baptist Church building fund with family designation.
