Mercer County preschool screenings

NEW BOSTON ELEMENTARY and APOLLO ELEMENTARY will conduct a screening of children who are 3 years old by the screening date in the areas of vision, hearing, speech, behavior and other developmental areas.

Appointments are necessary.

Appointments for the NBE screening are:

February 25th. …. .9:00 am - 2:00 pm at the First Baptist Church in Joy

March 5th………. .12:00 pm - 6:00pm at the First Baptist Church in Joy

Appointments for the Apollo screening are:

February 18th. . . . . . . 9:00 am -2:00 pm at the Aledo Methodist Church

February 19th . . . …..12:00pm - 6:00 pm at the Aledo Methodist Church

In order for children to attend preschool a screening must be completed to determine eligibility. The screening program is a free service provided cooperatively by the Mercer County School District, Black Hawk Area Special Education District, Mercer County Department of Public Health, and the HMW Regional Office of Education #27.
