32nd Annual "Bob Mitton Orion Invitational Wrestling Tournament is Jan. 23 and 24

The 32nd Annual "Bob Mitton" Orion Invitational Wrestling Tournament is Jan. 23 and 24 at Orion High School.

Teams participating int he tournament include Mercer County, Sherrard, Rockridge, Orion, Alleman, Ashton Franklin Center, Camp Point Central, Dakota, Erie/Prophetstown, Farmington, Gibson City Melvin Sibley Fisher, Knoxville, Kewanee, Macomb, Normal U-High, Oregon and Riverdale.

The start time on Friday is at 6 p.m. On Friday the first and second rounds plow one round of wrestle-backs will occur.

On Saturday starting at 9:15 a.m. wrestling will start with one round of wrestlebacks, semi finals, semi-final wrestle-backs and finals - approximately 4 p.m.

There are five teams ranked in Class "A" state (by matmen).

Over 50 wrestlers on madman's ranked wrestlers list will be present. Six wrestlers are currently ranked #1 in state rankings. Several returning state placers and numbers state qualifiers.
