Staff Writer
Aledo Times Record

The Aledo Police Department is investigating thefts from vehicles that occurred over

night sometime between Jan. 29. Taken were aluminum ladders, copper wiring and brass fittings. All of the items taken were unsecured in pickup trucks and the vehicles were parked in residential areas. During our investigation we learned that Viola also had a theft overnight and Henry County has had similar thefts in the last two-weeks in Alpha, Orion, Woodhull and Cambridge.

This is to alert our citizens to secure your vehicles and please don’t leave valuable items left in plain view or unsecured in your vehicles. We are also asking citizens to report any suspicious vehicles late at night that could haul these type items away. Anyone with any information about these crimes, please call the Police Department at 309-582-2331 or Crime Stoppers at 309-582-3500 or 800-582-2762.

This is an on-going investigation.
