Kiddoo to paint cello for QC Symphony fundraiser

Carlea Kiddoo of Joy, IL has been selected as one of the artists to paint a cello for the Quad City Symphony Orchestra's historic 100 Years, 100 Cellos fundraiser. In celebration of world-renowned cellist Yo-Yo Ma performing with the QCSO on May 14, one hundred cellos will be painted by select artists and displayed throughout the Quad City region.
On May 29 the QCSO is hosting a Cello-Bration at the Figge Art Museum where all one hundred cellos will be displayed. The cellos will be bid on through a silent auction with proceeds supporting QCSO music education programs.
Carlea is the daughter of Doug and Barb Kiddoo and a junior at Mercer County High School. She is involved in Key Club, competitive dance, Mercer County dance squad, track, and loves art and photography.
