GALESBURG — Carl Sandburg College student works will be on display March 23-May 4 for the Spring 2015 Student Art Show in the Building D Gallery on the Main Campus in Galesburg, 2400 Tom L. Wilson Blvd.

An opening reception for the artists will take place from 6-8 p.m. March 27 in the gallery. The show and reception are free and open to the public. The show features pieces in various types of media designed by current Sandburg students, and awards will be given in several categories.

The juror for this year’s show is Bradley University art instructor Susanne Nestory, whose work was most recently included in the “Off the Grid” exhibit at Sandburg this winter. Nestory has served as adjunct faculty at Bradley since 2008, teaching drawing and foundations. She previously taught painting, color theory and art appreciation at Rowan University in Glassboro, N.J. Nestory earned a Bachelor’s in Fine Arts in painting in 1992 from Southern Oregon University, and she earned her Master’s in Fine Art from the University of Pennsylvania in 2003.

The Building D Gallery was established in 2006 and has hosted group faculty exhibits, juried student exhibits and the works of area professional photographers and painters.
