Crime Stoppers Crime of the Week

The Mercer County Crime Stoppers is seeking information about a cruelty to animal complaint in rural Aledo.

On March 7 at approximately 8 a.m. the Mercer County Sheriff's Department took a complaint from a resident that lives in Millersburg, outside of Aledo. The caller reported that her pug mix dog named Micah had been shot with a firearm while in her own yard. The location of the incident was 1394 120th Ave, Aledo. Micah sustained injuries that required surgery and several thousand dollars in veterinarian costs. Micah is currently doing well according to her owner.
