Here are five ways to have fun this weekend.

1. The big movies opening this week are “We Are Your Friends,” an R drama starring Zac Efron; “No Escape,” an R thriller starring  Lake Bell, Pierce Brosnan, Owen Wilson and Thanawut Kasro; and “Z for Zachariah,” a PG-13 post-apocalyptic flick.

2. Aledo's 13th annual Antique Days, Saturday. Antiques, car show, tractor show, library book sale, entertainment, crafts, food and more.

3. New Boston 94th annual Fish & Chicken Fry, Saturday. Parade-10 a.m.; serving food, 11 a.m.-6 p.m.; street dance, 7 p.m.-midnight; fireworks on the riverfront at dusk, and more. This year's theme is "Pirates on the Mississippi."

4. Sunday is National Toasted Marshmallow Day, and we’ll be toasting some marshmallows over a firepit to celebrate. Do the same if you can, and make s’mores or just eat the golden brown marshmallows by themselves. Yum.

Area games: Mercer County @ Elmwood-Brimfield, 7 p.m.; Amboy @Sherrard, 7:30 p.m.; Sterling Newman Catholic @ Rockridge, 7:30 p.m., and United @ Abingdon-Avon, 7 p.m. MLS and MLB are winding down and the Cubs & Cardinals are entering the must-win stretch, there’s European soccer and preseason football games are scheduled all weekend.
