Burn ban lifted

Due to extreme dry conditions existing in the City of Aledo, the Mayor requested that the City Council of the City of Aledo impose a temporary ban on open burning for the purpose of promoting the safety of the city’s residents.

On Monday, October 19, 2015 the Aledo City Council authorized an Ordinance imposing a Temporary Ban on Open Burning within the City of Aledo.

After consultation with the Aledo Fire Protection District, Mayor Christopher

Hagloch has rescinded the OPEN BURNING BAN for the City of Aledo, Illinois,

effective 10 a.m. on October 27, 2015 after recent precipitation and weather

conditions have improved.

As a reminder to the City’s residents, Aledo Burn Days are on Monday,

Wednesday, Thursday, and Saturday within the Corporate limits of Aledo.
