Teams out to deterimine number of tornadoes Tuesday
A strong area of low pressure and associated warm front tracked northeast from Missouri into northern Illinois during the evening hours on Tuesday. Numerous strong thunderstorms developed over the region, bringing large hail and several tornadoes to the area. The warm front lifting north was a focus area for tornadic supercells. Storm survey teams will be assessing damage Wednesday and results of the surveys will be posted here by late afternoon/early evening.
