2020 TRS Scholarship Winners

The Mercer County Retired Teacher's Association are pleased to announce the awarding of two $1,000 scholarships awarded to Malorie Matlick and Dani Hagens.

Malorie graduated from Mercer County High School and will be attending Quincy University, majoring in Special Educatsion. Matlick is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Travis Matlick of Aledo.

Dani Hagens is currently attending Monmouth College and majoring in Mathematics Education. Hagens is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Brian Hagens of Aledo.

The scholarship applications are judged on academic standing, quality of essay and financial need, likelihood of being successful in college and the quality and completeness of the entire application.

Eight applications were submitted and all are encouraged to fill out applications again in 2020.
