High Roads Advantage Program to Continue Under the Direction of Family Resources’ Sabrina Earl
DAVENPORT, Iowa –
The Workforce Development Board of the American Job Center serving Rock Island, Henry, and Mercer counties has approved funding for the High Roads Advantage Youth Program, naming Family Resources as the new scal agent and Sabrina Earl as the new director.
About the opportunity to lead this program, Earl shares, “I had the privilege of spending four years of my career as a High Roads Advantage/BHC instructor, so I’m looking forward to returning to the program in this capacity. This partnership with Family Resources will only add to the existing strengths of this vital program, putting us in a positon to better serve the young adults of this community."
The High Roads Advantage Program serves young adults ages 16-24, providing education, job skills, and life skills. This transition allows the program to continue to oer the same vital services in Aledo and surrounding communities, but also oers the opportunity to expand those services to include on-site Survivor Services outreach. For the past year, Family Resources’ Sexual Assault Rural Advocate has been providing education and crisis intervention to the program, and this transition will allow for expansion of those same services. Beginning this month, survivors and their support systems will be able to access support and advocacy including medical/legal advocacy, counseling, and connection to other survivor advocacy programs including bullying, child abuse, assault, and stalking. All services are condential and free of charge.
The High Roads Advantage program will continue to operate from the same location (2004 SE 3rd Street, Aledo, IL.) and can be reached at 309-582-8181. Family Resources Survivor Services programs can also be accessed through the 24/7 crisis line at 309-797-1777.
