New Water Tower in Joy

A new water tower is going up in Joy. Maguireiron of Soux Falls, SD is erecting the tower. The tower is approximately 150 ft. tall, about a foot taller than the old one. It will take approximately 3-4 weeks for installation. Joy will still be using the same two wells as their water source. As in the past they are connected to Aledo with a flow valve in case of an emergency and another source of water is needed.
A paint crew will come in and paint most of the tower, while it is still on the ground. The process of painting takes about 10 days.
