Derek Coulter, left, of Mercer County; Cross Oberman of East Dubuque and Ollie Arndt of Freeport Aquin drive hard to the finish line at the IHSA Class 1A cross country sectional on Saturday, Oct. 31, at the Seneca FFA Land Lab. Arndt finished 15th at 17:46.3, a step ahead of Oberman, 16th, 17:46.5. Coulter was on their heels in 17th place at 17:47.3. If the IHSA had a state meet this year, Arndt and Oberman would have been the last two individuals to qualify.
