The concern with the current presidential administration's attitude toward Christianity and other faiths is real. There is a growing antagonism toward people of faith that seeks the withdrawal of Christians and all people of faith, and their organizations, from the public forum of ideas and services: one can document the attack on religious conscience and liberty through the Health and Human Services mandate on Contraception and funding of abortion, along with the recent Hosanna Tabor v. EEOC case before the Supreme Court in which the government sought to dictate who could be a minister of a religious denomination. Locally, the state of Illinois has decreed that Catholic Charities can no longer serve in foster care or adoption services.

By God’s Grace may we have the courage we need to reveal Christ to the world through our words and actions.
