The Glory Belongs to God

Pastors Bob and Betty Moede

Do your realize that every time you tell someone that the devil is giving you a hard time, you are giving him glory? His job is to give you a hard time and it makes him happy when you are telling people that he is messing up your life. Each time you state tat the devil "got you good" you deny the power of God.

Instead of complaining when thinned don't go your way, we are cautioned to keep our minds on the One who performed many miracles and wonders since He created the world. For example, think of God healing the blind Bartimeus (Mark 10:46-52). In this way we focus on Him instead of speaking negative words which eventually become an obstacle to the victory He already has for us."Trust in me in your time of trouble and I will rescue you, and you will give me glory." (Psalm 50:15).

When Adam and Eve disobeyed God we became a lost people. Satan had enslaved mankind. God could have destroyed us but he didn't. He sent His only begotten Son to die for us on the cross so that we would be set free. We were given the gift of salvation. "Salvation" means a deliverance. The idea is that we have been rescued by God from a terrible fate and brought to a place of safety.

"For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, so that whosoever believes in Him would not perish, but have everlasting life." (John 3:16)

Many people always find something to whine about. Got wants us to look at our situation in a positive way. His deist is to come to Him with our joys, our sadness, and our needs. He is not pleased when we complain to others about our situation. In order to do this, we are encouraged to get rid of the negatives and focus on the positives. Fix you focus on God. You'll be chained from the inside out. Recognize what He wants from you, and quickly respond to it. Unlike the culture around you, always dragging you down to its level of immaturity, God brings out the best in you, and develops a well-formed maturity in  you. (Romans 12:2)

We were not promised that life would be easy, but we were told not to give in to worry. Don't fret or worry. Instead of worrying, pray. Let petitions and praised shape your worries into prayers, letting God know your concerns. Before you know it, a sense of God's wholeness, everything coming together for good, will come and settle you down. It's wonderful what happens when Jesus Christ displaces worry at the center of your life. - Philippians 4:6-7.

1 John 4:4 - Make it personal: I refuse to confess Satan's power over me. I refuse to confess the problems tower over me. I refuse to confess the circumstances' power over me. I am a child of God, a little child, and have overcome them, because He wo is in me is greater than he who is in the world."
