On Sept. 27 Mercer County Sheriff's Deputies arrested Larry G. Ackerman, 58, of Aledo for driving under the influence of alcohol. Ackerman was transported to the Mercer County Jail where he later posted bond and was released.

On Sept. 28 Mercer County Sheriff's Deputies stopped a vehicle for improper lane usage and found the driver, Richard Doss, 48, of Reynolds to be under the influence of alcohol. Doss was arrested and transported to the Mercer County Jail where he later posted bond and was released.

On Sept. 30 Mercer County Sheriff's Deputies arrested Howard L. Frye, 63, of Keithsburg on a Rock Island County warrant. Frye was booked and released after posting 10 percent of a $1,000 bond.

On Oct. 1 the Mercer County Sheriff's Department received a complaint of a reckless driver on State Hwy 94 north of Aledo. Deputies intercepted the vehicle just north of Aledo on State Hwy 94. The driver Lyle Tharp, 53, of Aledo was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol. Tharp was transported to the Mercer County Jail where he later posted bond and was released.

On Oct. 2 Mercer County Sheriff's Deputies responed to a two vehicle accident with no injuries east of Aledo on Rt. 17. Shirley Worley was attempting to make a left turn off of RT. 17. At this time Worley's 1992 Chevrolet Corsica LT was struck by a 1996 Chevrolet Lumina driven by Amber Hajostek. Worley was issued a citation for failure to yield.

On Oct. 3 Mercer County Sheriff's deputies were called to a residence in New Boston for a domestic disturbance between a mother and her 18-year-old daughter. Amber Jebson, 18 was arrested for disorderly conduct and was transported to jail Deputies were assisted by the New Boston Police Department.

On Oct. 4 the Mercer County Sheriff's Department responded to a one vehicle accident on 220th Street just north of Ridge Road. On arrival deputies discovered a pickup truck on its side in a beanfield. As a result of the investigation Nicholas R. Slavish was arrested for reckless driving, criminal damage to property, driving under the influence of alcohol and unlawful use of weapns. No one was seriously injured in the accident.

On Oct. 5 Patrick Haupt, 38, of Keithsburg was arrested for disorderly conduct after an altercation at Caseys in Keithsburg. Haupt is being held at the Mercer County Jail awaiting bond.
