Milan man killed in Mercer County crash

A Milan man was killed in an early Wednesday morning accident, Nov. 19, 2008, in Mercer County. The one-vehicle crash occurred along Illinois 94 just south of Hamlet.

James Selman, 45, was ejected from the car after losing control at around 5 a.m. He was pronounced dead at the scene by Mercer County Coroner Ron McNall. Selman was northbound on the highway. McNall said the vehicle left the roadway and rolled over.

The Mercer County Sheriff's Department also responded to the crash.
