Heidi Mae Miller of Aledo, 39, pled guilty to one count of permitting the sexual abuse of a child in her care in Mercer County Circuit Court on April 5.

Miller admitted to permitting the predatory criminal sexual assault of a female under the age of 13.

As a result of her plea Mercer County States Attorney Greg McHugh agreed to drop two other similar charges against Miller.

Through the plea agreement Miller will face three years of felony probation, serve 280 days in jail. She must also register as a sex offender. She must keep the court informed of where she lives and is not allowed to travel outside of Illinois, except to the state of Iowa. She was ordered by the court to obtain a mental health evaluation.

She is not to have any contact with James Doe or Jane Doe.

She also agreed to cooperate with the court and testify against Rodney Miller.

If she had gone to trial and been found guilty, she could have been sentenced to between four and 15 years in prison, faced a fine of up to $25,000 or been paroled for two years and served probation for 48 months.
