Arrest made in criminal damage to squad car

Christopher Smet of Aledo, 31, was arrested Friday evening, Jan. 28, 2011, by the Aledo Police Department for damaging an Aledo Police vehicle.

According to witnesses, Smet tore the spotlight off the squad car and kicked and threw objects at the vehicle that caused body damage. A short time later, Smet was located and arrested in a bar next to the parking lot. 

Smet was charged with criminal damage to property and was booked at Mercer County Jail.
