Tuesday at 8:30 a.m. starts the second day of a Mercer County jury trial for Cindy Stewart of Keithsburg, 54, who is charged with a Class X felony -- aggravated meth manufacturing within 1,000 feet of a church, less than 15 grams; and possession of meth manufacturing materials, a Class 1 felony.

Jury selection took most of the morning Monday, June 20, with the state's case starting after the lunch break at 1:30 p.m.

Nearly 45 minutes of testimony was heard from Mercer County Deputy Jesse Doty regarding the events that occurred on Jan. 16, 2011 at the Stewart home.

Also testifying Monday were three other law enforcement personnel, a man from the state meth cleanup squad and Joseph Engle of Monmouth, who was also arrested on Jan. 16, as part of the drug arrests.
