Knox County Multi-Vehicle Crash

 Illinois State Police Troopers and Knox County Deputies responded to the scene of a multi vehicle crash Tuesday afternoon at approximately 1:40 p.m.

    On 2900 North at US 150 (2 miles North of Rio) a black 1993 Chevrolet Camaro was entered onto US 150 from 2900 North. A blue 2002 Ford pickup traveling South on US 150 struck the driver’s side of the Camaro.

    The driver of the Camaro was pronounced dead at the scene from injuries sustained in the crash by the Knox County Coroner. Rio Fire Department responded to the scene and transported the driver of the pickup to St. Mary’s Hospital in Galesburg for minor injuries.

    No names are available at this time. No citations have been issued. This incident remains under investigation by the Illinois State Police Crash Reconstruction Officers.
