Fire in rural Aledo brings in mutual aid

Fire crews from Aledo, Viola, Reynolds and Greene Township showed up at this fire in rural Aledo, which was called into the Aledo Fire Department around 3 p.m. Thursday, July 5, 2012

A hot day didn't hold back firefighters in Mercer County this afternoon. A fire at the Robert Lindquist residence, 1275 200th St., Aledo, brought out a number of area fire departments at around 3 p.m.

At one point the house was fully engulfed in flames. There was also a report of an explosion.

The residence is about 12 miles northeast of Aledo.
