Subaru Forester, dune buggy stolen in northwestern Galesburg

GALESBURG — A stolen vehicle was reported in northwestern Galesburg the morning of Nov. 16. 

The victim called police to the 200 block of West Dayton Street at 7:44 a.m., where she told officers she had parked her vehicle in the driveway at about 10:30 p.m. When she got up in the morning to take her kids to school, the black, 2017 Subaru Forester was gone. 

She was unable to find the keys and believes that she may have accidentally left them in the vehicle. 

The vehicle was placed into LEADS as stolen. 

A dune buggy and trailer were reported stolen from a northwestern Galesburg driveway Monday evening. 

Officers were called to the 1400 block of West Waters Street at 6:05 p.m., where the victim explained that the dune buggy, valued at $2,000, and the trailer, valued at $900, were in the driveway when his son left for school at 7 a.m. but when he returned at 3 p.m. they were gone.
