Keep green beyond Earth Day with BHC classes

Black Hawk College offers training to help you learn about green energy, green building and green technology.

Two upcoming on-site classes are:

· Solar Energy: The How and Why - Saturdays, May 15-22 from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Cost is $160 for residents of the Black Hawk College District. Call for out-of-district rates.

· Small Wind Turbines - An Introduction - Saturday, June 12 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Cost is $99.

Both classes will be at the Black Hawk College Outreach Center, 301 Avenue of the Cities, East Moline.

The college also offers an array of online classes, such as:

· Green Education & Sustainability Courses and Certificates

· Green Building Technical Professional

· Green Supply Chain Professional

· Green Sustainability 101

· Green Training - Intro to Building Efficiency

· Green Training - Weatherization Energy Auditor
