The Healthy Caregiver

Caring for others is an inherent pattern in the psyche of those drawn to the helping professions. They may also be thrust into excessive care giving, when an unforeseen health disruption occurs in a loved one. This seminar will help students distinguish between healthy and unhealthy patterns of caring that lead to co-dependency, burnout and unprofessional boundaries. Students will also learn three stages through which care givers must develop to maintain their own health as they care for others. Class will be on Saturday, Dec. 18, only, from 1-5 p.m.
