Announcing Sixth Annual Ecology Series

The Rock Island County Soil and Water Conservation District will be hosting their 6th Annual Winter Ecology Series, the first 3 Tuesdays in February. The series is a partnership between the RICO SWCD, it’s volunteer group the QC Natural Area Guardians, The Illinois Master Naturalists, and the Citizens to Preserve Black Hawk Park Foundation. This year’s theme is title “Wild Winter Wonders” – Mysteries of Nature’s Winter World Revealed” and will explore our local winter phenomena and animal adaptations and habits. The second night of the series will also feature a special children activity.
