Big Read Event March 28 at CSC Auditorium

Carl Sandburg College will host The Ghosts of Edgar Allan Poe at 6:30 p.m. on Monday, March 28, at the CSC Auditorium, located at 1160 Buchanan Street in Carthage. The event is co-hosted with the Carthage Public Library.

Actor and educator Brian “Fox” Ellis will recount the tormented true tales of Edgar Allan Poe’s life and how they led to his classic tales of terror. The event is part of The Big Read, with this year’s theme on “The Stories and Poems of Edgar Allan Poe.”

Although admission to the event is free, all CSC Auditorium Seats for Life holders will be able to reserve their seat. To reserve, please contact Linda Thomas at (217) 357-3129 x 7241 by noon on Friday, March 25.

The Sandburg Days festival for the mind presents events in conjunction with The Big Read, an initiative of the National Endowment for the Arts, that runs March 1 through April 30. This year’s Sandburg Days festival for the mind runs April 13-16.
