Thinking Outside the Box

It’s my funeral and I’ll serve ice cream if I want! No doubt, the baby boomer generation is changing the ways that funerals and memorials for themselves and their parents are being planned. Today there are many options opening up with respect to funerals. Most funeral homes are open to providing services that allow arrangements to be more personalized and intimate. For example, did you know that home funerals are perfectly legal? You can have a funeral on private property anywhere in the US as long as state laws and statutes are followed. This workshop will provide you with practical information on the basics of preplanning, current funeral trends, and personalizing your own arrangements. Class will be on Monday, April 4, only, from 6-8 p.m.

Minimum of 6 students by 03/31/11 and maximum of 15 students. Not limited to seniors. Class will be on Tuesday, April 5, only, from 5:30-8:30 p.m.

Simple tools and necessary materials will be available, along with demonstrations, advice, solutions, and a box of found objects.

You bring old or broken jewelry, parts, beads and things to class then add to the ‘found objects’ box, which we’ll share. Of course you may keep your own pieces if you like. Make as many pieces as you can during class time. Class will be on Mondays, beginning April 11 for two weeks from 6-8 p.m.
