Registration Open for CSC Cyber Camp for Area Teachers June 16-17

Carl Sandburg College will host the tenth annual Cyber Camp 2011 for K-12 teachers June 16-17 at the Main Campus in Galesburg. The camp is an opportunity for area teachers to gain hands-on training using technology that will enhance classroom instruction and learning. ?

“Innovation through Collaboration” is the topic of this year’s camp. Sessions will focus on a collaborative approach to delivering education in the classroom. Session topics include:

·Free Moodle learning system for your classroom

·Digital Storytelling

·Teaching in the Cloud (On a Shoestring Budget)

·WebQuests in the Classroom – A Collaborative Strategy

·Making SmartBoard Lessons Interactive

·Virtual Field Trips

·Efficient Online Research/Noodle Tools

·Technology Tips and Tricks

·Curriculum Projects with Global Collaborative Learning Partners

·Google Site – Create Your Own Webpage

·Multiple Intelligences (MI) and Learning Collaboration

·Digital Photography for the Classroom

·Internet Resources for the Photo Buff

·Teachers Collaborating to Share Practical Curriculum Ideas

There is an early bird fee of $75 if participants register by May 13. The regular fee is $99. Registration includes admission to all classes of choice, camp materials, breakfast, lunch and snacks. Participants can contact their regional office of education about the possibility of reimbursement for the camp fees.
