Spanish, Game Programming summer youth camps at BHC

Black Hawk College’s summer youth camps kick off the week of June 4 with Spanish Camp and Game Programming Camp.

In Spanish Camp, students ages 8-12 will experience the culture, history, food and dance from Latin American countries while learning fun and basic conversational Spanish from a native speaker.

Spanish Camp will be from 10-11:30 a.m. Tuesday-Thursday, June 5-7, at the college’s Outreach Center, 301 Avenue of the Cities, East Moline. Cost is $26 plus a $6 for a Spanish/English Dictionary.

In Game Programming Camp, students ages 13-17 will create their own graphic-oriented games using GameMaker, then play against the computer.

Game Programming Camp will be from 12:30-3:30 p.m. Monday-Thursday, June 4-7, at the college’s Quad-Cities Campus, 6600 34th Ave., Moline. Cost is $150.
