Registration Deadline June 1 for 11th Annual Cyber Camp

The registration deadline is June 1 for the 11th annual Sandburg Educational Network Cyber Camp, which will take place June 14-15 on the Main Campus of Carl Sandburg College, 2400 Tom L. Wilson Blvd.

Sandburg EducationalNetwork is a technology partnership between Carl Sandburg College and the K-12 schools within its district. Cyber Camp is an opportunity for area teachers to gain hands-on training with technology that will enhance classroom instruction and learning.

The theme for this year’s Cyber Camp is “Redesigning the Teaching Paradigm.” It will focus on using a wide variety of technology tools to enhance learning and explore how teachers can effectively leverage technology to adapt to student learning and collaborative styles.

The camp will take place 8 a.m.- 4 p.m. June 14 and 8:45 a.m.-4 p.m. June 15. Campers will choose totake part in two sessions each day. Among the 17 session topics are Teaching in the Cloud, Making SmartBoard Lessons Interactive, Cyber Bullying, Mobile Devices in the Classroom and Digital Storytelling. Registration costs $99 and includes all training materials, breakfasts, lunches and snacks. Participants should contact their regional office of education about the possibility of having their registration fee reimbursed.
