BHC sets June 6 deadline for trustee nominations

Black Hawk College is accepting nominations from individuals interested in filling the Board of Trustees seat vacated by the recent resignation of John Ahern.

The nomination deadline is noon Wednesday, June 6. Interested individuals must submit a one-page résumé and a one-page letter of interest to the President’s Office.

The new trustee will serve until April 2013.

The timeline for filling the position is as follows:

Wednesday, June 6 at noon – Deadline for letter of interest and résumé to be received in the President’s Office.

Monday, June 18 at 4:30 p.m. – Special closed meeting of the Board of Trustees to review candidate résumés and letters of interest.

Tuesday, June 26 at 4:30 p.m. – Special closed meeting of the Board of Trustees to conduct interviews (approximately 15 minutes each) of potential candidates selected at the June 18 meeting.

Thursday, June 28 at 6 p.m. – Regular board meeting with board report and swearing in the new trustee.
