The Rockridge Softball Invitational Tournament was Saturday, March 27 at Rockridge and at Andalusia Lions Park. Rockridge defeated Sterling- Newman, Quincy, and Alexis United. Rockridge won the tournament. Rock Island Rocks placed third.

Sunday, March 28 was the Annual Easter Egg Hunt at Reynolds Legion at 2 p.m. ages up to 12 years participated. The weather cooperated and the Eastter Bunny made it.

Glen Cook is coaching the Rockridge high school boys' baseball team. Ten letter winners are returning to play. “I love getting back out there.”

Bill Westpfahl, Jean Ketzle, Aledo, Charles Bellinger, Vera Stout, Clara Mae Harrison, Ruth Sederquist, Mary Kay Wautenick, Beulah Venable were among those attending Pauline Crampton's 90th birthday open house Sunday at Illinois City Hall.

Mr. and Mrs. Walter Holstine and Mr. and Mrs. Francis Mack came home last week from winter vacation in Texas.

Mr. and Mrs. Walter Holstine, Mr. and Mrs. Jim Holstine and Russell, Mrs. Helen Phillips, Mrs. Jane Otten and Anna attended the wedding of Mr. and Mrs. Jim Woods, Saturday, March 27 at St. Matthews' Church and reception at the Reynolds Legion.

Bonnie Curry underwent carpel tunnel surgery Monday, March 29 on her left hand. She had the right hand surgery in December.

The Reynolds Legion Building will be closed during April for laying a new floor and other repairs. There will be no Senior Citizens meeting on Wednesday during April.

Susan and Mel Blaser, Tucker Blaser and Anna Gulbrandsen, St. Louis, Mo., Mel and Betty Blaser and Holly Begyn attended University of Iowa baseball games to watch Tyson Blaser, Sr., this weekend. On spring break Mel and Susan Blaser watched Tyson and the team play in San Antonio, Texas.

Liz Watkins, catcher, a key member of University of Iowa softball team, drove in three home runs in a victory over Michigan State Spartan's Team at East Lansing, Mich. Liz Watkins, is a former Rockridge high school standout, and a sophomore at University of Iowa. She was named “Big Ten Player of the Week.”
