Joe Heath, sophmore, was selected first team, unanimous All Olympic Conference for 2010 area basketball for Rockridge. Hunter Frakes, Alex Johnson and Tanner Martin were selected honorable mention for the season.

Dustin Wells, Rockridge junior outfielder, earns Area Pacesetter honors from Dispatch and Rock Island Argus this week. Wells credits help from his uncle, Randy Hollerud.

The winter Texans breakfast was held March 31, 8 a.m. at the Edgington restaurant. Don and Eileen Hampton, Betty and Tom Phipps, Francis and Donna Mack, Carroll and Donna Dunlap, Marge and Gordy Pape, Walter and Georgiabelle Holstine were among those who attended.

Mr. and Mrs. John Kimball arrived in Illinois, Thursday, April 1 from winter in Texas.

Bonnie and Dick Curry entertained for Easter, April 4, David Curry, Amanda Curry, Galesburg, Marty Curry, Rock Island, Vickie and Todd Ireland. In the afternoon, Marty, Dick and Bonnie Curry visited with Inez and Jerry Rushton at Eldridge, Iowa.

Mr. and Mrs. Joe Wesenberg and Vey Booth were guests of Rhonda Wesenberg, Davenport, Iowa.

Bob Brooks spent Easter with his fiancee, Karen Korenowski and her mother, Cuba.

Agnes Johannes, Joe and Mary Lou DeMarlie, Beth Patrizi ate Easter dinner with Christopher, Kristin and Ben DeMarlie.

Cindy and Kenneth Flack, Michelle and Jerry Baker attended Gloria Deiu church services where Michelle is the pianist for the church. Later they were Easter guests Bradley and Karen Flack and four boys in East Moline.

Saturday, April 3 Cameron Flack, 9 years, broke his left arm in three places, in a soccer game. It required three pins and a steel plate in his arm.

Easter dinner guests of Andrea and Jack Newton were Sam and Joannie Boney, and Marshall, Monmouth, John and Tiffany Hoyt, Kenneth and Ruth Hoyt.

Mary and Leonard Knox entertained for Easter dinner, Leslie and Damon Anthony, Wendy Jo and Paul Burnett, Aurora.

Helen Phillips entertained for Easter dinner, Jane, Jeff and Anna Otten and Cam and Weldon Otten, Aledo.

Dianne Verschoore and Coralie Krueger went Thursday, April 1 for the weekend to visit Mike, Wendy Dwinal and boys, Bloomington.

Kyle, Tina, Karly Jo and Tanner Matlick, Bess, Rick and Rex Brandt, were Easter guests of Bob and Vicki Luepke.

Saturday, April 3, Jackie, Matt and Dylan Tracy, Bloomington, Matt, Jenny, and Avak Robinson, New Windsor, Amanda Mueller and Damon Pearson, Reynolds, Jeanne Mueller and Julie Robinson were Easter dinner guests of Sharon Mueller.

Julie Robinson had knee replacement surgery on Wednesday, March 24. She is now undergoing therapy.

On April 61-17 Julie Robinson, Jeanne and Sharon Mueller are going to Chicago to the International Quilt Festival, Rosemont. They will see Jeanne Mueller's quilt on display there entitled "Spiderweb." The quilts must be selected for the show.

Sherry and Steve Oak entertained for Easter, Mr. and Mrs. Wendell oak, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Venable and Chelsy Oak, Mr. and Mrs. Travis Norris, Mr. and Mrs. Ronnie Castor, and Jonathon Oak.

Jerry and Delora Hall, Tom and Vicky Hall, Don Hall, Chris and Gina Rowe, Owen and Camryn, Randy Hall, Sam and Cheryl Peterson went to Dodgeville, Wis. To the Reynolds family Easter gathering at the Reynolds Building. They enjoyed the family dinner, Easter egg hunt, and festivities.

Tyler Jahn celebrated his birthday on Friday, April 2. The Jahn and Armstrong families enjoyed pizza at Happy Joes.

Saturday, April 3 was the wedding reception for Mr. and Mrs. Eric Sanders, Moline. They had been married in Las Vegas.

Jeff and Amanda Pickett, Connie McKinley, Monsignor Tom Mack, and Mildred Farwell were Easter guests with Francis and Donna Mack. Paula and Kirby Adamson were afternoon guests.

Graydon and Marilyn Kranz entertained Kranz families for Easter dinner about 30 members. They celebrated Kim House's birthday and Matt and Sue Freiden's wedding anniversary.

Mrs. Pat Stetson and Sid spent Easter weekend with Mary and Gregg Hansen, Northbrook.

Then Duane Moffitt families had attended the church services at Illinois City Methodist Church and Easter dinner at Denny's.

Helen and Bob Peterson had Easter dinner for their families Diane and Gary Peterson and families, Dixon, Juen Lindburg and families, Rock Island.

Walter and Georgiabelle Holstine, Jim and Russell Holstine, Jessica and Eric Vanasvale were dinner guests of Anna and Allan Holdsworth.

The Lucille Elliott family met in Rockford to celebrate her 80th birthday at the Machine Shed. There are 10 family members present.
