 Mr. and Mrs. David Duncan, with Ida Duncan of Aledo, attended the visitation and funeral this past Tuesday and Wednesday of Ida’s younger sister, Frances Wormley, of Oswego.

Sympathy goes out to the family of Catherine “Kate” Willman of rural Seaton. Kate and her husband Ernie farmed west of Seaton for many years and raised their family there. He preceded her in death in 2003. Children and grandchildren that still live in the Seaton area are, Laurie and Randall Dennison, their son Brian and Monica Dennison and sons and their daughter Jill and Brian Henry.

The Community Easter Egg Hunt in Seaton was a big success. Fifty-five children enjoyed the crafts and activities and the Easter Egg hunt on a windy Good Friday. Then they did a balloon release that was awesome to see. Organizers Cyndee Cook and Nikki Holmes were pleased with the turnout.

The Mercer County Softball varsity team won their season conference opener game against Ridgewood (Alwood/Cambridge 17-7 on Tuesday, April 6 at Aledo. The JV also won also.
