Seaton Softball signups for boys and girls in grades K-12 were last Saturday, April 24, in Seaton. Children can still sign-up for their team. The pee-wee team needs a few more players. Please contact Amanda Gray for the pee-wee team or inquire at the Wheeler Café.

The Mercer County High School Softball team traveled to Quincy last Saturday and was there to play a double header with Quincy Notre Dame. The Golden Eagles won the first game 8-1 that was delayed and then shortened by rain. The rain caused the second game to be cancelled. On Monday the varsity traveled to West Central and lost 5-12 and 3-8. On Tuesday both the varsity and junior varsity played at Stark County. The varsity lost 0-9 and the JV won 12-9. On Wednesday, the varsity played at Knoxville and 0-10.

There was a planning meeting for the 7th Annual Antique Power Reunion on Tuesday, April 27 at the Wheeler Café. This year’s event will be June 26th in the Seaton Park.

The first Tuesday of May at 6:30 pm, May 4 will be the next meeting of the Seaton Library Board. The hours for the library are still Tuesdays from 3:30 - 5:30 p.m. and Saturdays from 10 a.m. until noon but hours will expand this summer. There are a lot of new books to check out for all ages.
