Charles Wood returned from Trinity West Hospital Tuesday, Aug. 17. He had surgery Tuesday, Aug. 10. He is doing well. His daughters, Marcia Winter and Jeanne Kovanda, Wheaton, are assisting at his home.

Jane Cumby and Mary Doonan vacationed at Summit Lake, Wis. at the home of Norma Doering, Jane’s sister, over the weekend. They returned home on Monday, Aug. 16.

Saturday, Aug. 21, Dick and Bonnie Curry took Amanda Curry to Muscatine, to the Pizza Ranch for dinner Saturday night.

Saturday, Aug. 21, Donna Mack entertained at a luncheon for her niece’s birthday, Mildred Farwell. Those present were: Marty and Sheldon Farwell, Illinois City, Betty and Mary Ann Farwell, Viola and Connie McKinley, Milan.

Thirty Rockridge retired personnel met at the Welcome Inn, Milan, for a noon luncheon. The next meeting will be Tuesday, Sept. 28 at the same place.

Mel and Susan Blaser visited last weekend in St. Louis with Tucker Blaser and Anna Gulbrandsen. They celebrated Anna’s birthday.

Rockridge’s first full day of school was Monday, Aug. 23.
