The Harvest Party at Illinois City Hall was enjoyed by all - Patty Winegard organized games, food, and cake walk for those attending.

Kidz Klub got off to a bang last Wednesday - for the first meeting, we had a great attendance. The after school program has “respect” lesson, Bible lesson, snacks, crafts, singing and supper at 5 p.m. We welcome all area kids.

Confirmation Class began also with eight students attending. Toni and Howard Ross are teaching these classes.

Marty and Sheldon Farwell have returned from a fall foliage trip; to Crested Butte and Aspen, Colo. Beautiful time for photos. They also enjoyed Door Co. this fall with Marty’s sister Pam and Husband. Marty and Sheldon both have photos in the Valley Bank Calendar for 2011. The Davenport Bank chose Niabi Zoo for photos topics with proceeds to Niabi Zoo. Great calendar idea!

Ruth Chard enjoyed a two-week stay with son, Keith, in Summertown, Tenn. Great weather in the southern states.

Jack and Rhonda Massey visited in Illinois City last week and enjoyed supper at the Underground Restaurant in Muscatine with Randy and Laura McGinnis.

Frances Krueger visited with Ruth Fuller for an afternoon. It is amazing that Frances plays the organ at Ill City and Ruth the piano at Pine Bluff. They were also friends in their youth.

Randy and Laura McGinnis returned from Clarksville, Tenn. after visiting with Danielle Baldwin, Racheal, Keegan, Maegen and Patrick. We enjoyed tea parties, pizza parties, bike riding and playing.

Danielle’s husband, Lt. Col. Robert Baldwin lost his life Sept. 21, 2010 in Kandahar, Afghanistan.
