County Line Churches are involved in a "Beginning in Bethlehem" program on Sat. night.

A story of the first Christmas was held at the McCalley refurbished barn. A showy scene for the production was had, not the hot sandy weather of the middle east. Five walk through scenes were created in the barn. We are already looking forward to next years production.

Area ladies of Illinois City and Pine Bluff -- don't forget the ladies get together at Rikki Hetzlers home on Friday, Dec. 17. An evening meal will be provided. We will meet between 6-6:30 p.m.  so put this on your holiday calendar. It is a casual affair. The Hetzler home is across from Pine Bluff Church on the hill!

Pine Bluff Church is sponsoring the youth group Christmas play on Dec. 16 at 7 p.m. All area folks are invited. An evening meal is served after the play by Pine Bluff Ladies.

All area churches and any other residents are encouraged to donate food supplies for Christmas boxes that will be packed at Edgington Presbyterian Church at 8:30 a.m., Dec. 17. Please try to donate to this project.

Kidz Klub will be held Dec. 15 from 3:30-5:15 p.m. It is the last meeting until the new year. A pizza party will be enjoyed by all.

Gary and Leora Feldman celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary. A family dinner in the Amanas at The Ox Yoke Inn was enjoyed.

Illinois City Grade School had a huge crowd at their Christmas program at Edgington High School. Peggy Heaton enjoyed the program.

Peggy and Ronnie Heaton attended her cousin's husband's funeral, Richard Myers, state representative who passed away. He will be missed in Illinois, he was one of the respectable good guys. Condolences to his family.

Lita Keller enjoyed the Hon Retirees Christmas party last Thursday. A great meal and visiting with old friends.
