(Dec. 6, 2010) -- Last Monday afternoon Marge Mills returned home after spending several days over Thanksgiving with her daughter and husband, Susan and David Icenaugle in St. Louis.

Last Thursday evening Suzie Simpson with Joe and Terry held their Thanksgiving dinner with the following relatives and friends -- Dick and JoAnn Clark, Jim and Keaton Simpson, Don and Marilou Simpson of Milan, Mike and Josie Lair and family of Alexis, Morgan Simpson and Jackie Madon of East Galesburg.

Don and Mary Bertlesen were recent callers in the home of Helen and Clyde Campbell.

Irvin Galusha recently entertained Cherry, Dave and Halee Simmons of Biggesville, Adam and Heather Boyle with daughter Irelynn of Stronghurst, Holly and Matt Seitz with Jackson and Grace of Biggsville, Russell and Carol Galusha with Harrison and Abbey of Williamsville.

On Thanksgiving day guests of Leroy and Carol Valentine were Leroy's mother of Monmouth, a sister of Monmouth and a sister from Jefferson City, Mo., and his brother of Galesburg. On Friday, the Valentine's daughter and husband, Stacey and Andy Hall of Wataga were dinner guests.

Last weekend Kathleen Worthing got to spent time with her grandchildren from Rochelle while Lyle and their oldest grandson Ben attended a basketball tournament in Danville.

Sue and Greg Campbell accompanied by their nephew Dan Detterman of Chicago traveled to Iowa City to attend the basketball game between Idaho State and the Iowa Hawkeyes. Sue's son is one of the Idaho State coaches.

Logos will be Wednesday with prayer-time and choir practice to follow at 6:15 p.m. Afternoon Bible Study will meet Thursday at 1:30 at Carol Vallentin's. In the evening, at 6:30 p.m. at Krystal Jungeman's. New officers were installed at Little Cedar on Sunday, Dec. 12.

Greeters for Dec. 19 - Rod and Tobie Ballard and Savannah.

Thanksgiving day guests of Helen and Clyde Campbell were their grandson Dan Determan of Chicago, the families of Greg and Russ Campbell, Stan Free of Yorkville, Tom Free of Lanark, Mr. and Mrs. Leslie Ray and daughters of Herrin, Justine Williams of Wataga and Bill Dreher of Tampa, Florida.

Bob Perrin joined his Uncle Bill, Donnie and Marilyn for dinner on Thanksgiving Day at the Sirloin Stockade in Galesburg. Thursday evening, his son and grandson Joel and Jared of Lindenwood came and stayed until Saturday a.m. Friday afternoon, his son John and Katie of Monmouth were visitors.

Maxine Stoutt had Thanksgiving dinner for her daughter and family Melinda and Brian Clark and son, Jared.

Jim and Debra Darrah accompanied by Elizabeth Orterry drove to the home of Sandra Morrison at Lea. Mrs. Orterry stayed for a visit but the Darrahs returned home Thanksgiving Day. On Friday, Steve and Kim Darrah of Lincoln called on his parents.

Evenlyn Neal spent Thanksgiving at the home of Tom Avery and visited with other guests Mr. and Mrs. Lonnie Avery and family of Yorkville, Mr. and Mrs. Doug Woods of O'Fallon.

Diane and Jeff Carver and Diane's five sisters and their families enjoyed Thanksgiving dinner at the home of Denise and Doug Winebright of Monmouth.

Betty and Dick Ballard had Thanksgiving dinner with their son, Jerry and family. On Saturday afternoon, Sally Hanneman visited the Ballards.

Sally Hanneman of Goodletsville, Tenn. spent the weekend with her parents Mary and Don Bertelsen. While here, she also visited other relatives.

Berry and Cheryl Free entertained the Rundel family on Thanksgiving day with Gladys and Jim joining them. The Stanley Free family of Yorkville, spent Thursday night with his parents, Jim and Gladys Free.

Jerry, Kris, Emily and Katie Darrah were Thanksgiving dinner guests of his parents Shirley and Bob Darrah.

Thanksgiving dinner guests of Lucille and Bill Biddle were Vicky and Keith Niemeier of Highland, Debie and Mark Donahue and Michael of Carmon, Molly Goffett of Rolling Meadows, Jesse and Abbey Hawkins of Normal, Haley Hawkins and Joe Miller of Leroy.

Thanksgiving dinner guest of Kathleen and Lyle Worthington were Mark Baker, Eric, Adee and Danial Gash. On Friday and Saturday their son Victor and family visited and attended the Worthington reunion at the Roseville Bowling Alley.

Marjorie Smith spent Thanksgiving day with her daughter and husband, Kathy and Dave Erlandson.

Helen Jane Nicol spent Thanksgiving day and Friday with her daughter and family, Mary Ann and John McCann and their daughters and families.

Most of us would be content with our lot - if we had a lot.
