The S.P.A.R.K.S. committee’s annual Christmas Party in Seaton was held on Dec. 4 at 5 p.m. at the Fire Station for the children of the Seaton area. There were over 20 children there to see Santa and enjoy a movie accompanied by more adults than that. Hot dogs, chips and beverages were provided. Santa dropped off books for all those that attended after the event and the committee is trying to get those distributed to all that came. Please contact Renea Anderson at 309-586-6841 if your child still has not received a book.

Virginia Greer of Seaton celebrated her birthday on Dec. 6. Ed and Renea Anderson celebrated their daughter, Joni Anderson’s birthday on Dec 12 at Happy Joe’s in Aledo with Toni Weeks and her three children, Morgan, Matthew and Mason. Joni had her children Anna and Nathan with her. Joni’s birthday is Dec. 14. The weather was bad earlier that day and the High School band concert was rescheduled for January.

Over Christmas Break, Dec. 22-Jan. 9, the Seaton Library hopes to be open on more days than their normal operating hours. There are a lot of new books for all ages to check out. Stop by and see us.
