Betsy Hanson, Tiffany Hoyt, Ruth Hoyt and John Hoyt went to Schrivers Air Force Base in Colorado Springs, Colo. Wednesday, Jan. 12 to visit Austin and Graciy Hoyt. Their baby was born Thursday, Jan. 13. The little girl is named Addie Suzanne. The weather there was 50 degrees and sunny. They returned to Illinois on Wednesday, Jan. 19. This is the first great grandchild for Ken and Ruth Hoyt.

Bryan Elliott celebrated his 50 birthday at the Iowa Machine Shed on Tuesday night, Jan. 18.  Lucinda, Paul and Justin Parchert, Marty and Clint Dixon, Coleen and Kent Hessman, Bonnie and Dick Curry and his mother, Lucille Elliott helped him celebrate.

Wendy Jo Burnett and daughter, Vivi, Aurora, will be visiting her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Knox for a week. Her husband will visit his grandparents in Ecuador.

Saturday, Jan. 22, Linda Conway bought the former Doris Unterkircher property at the auction held at Hamlet Hal at 10:30 a.m. The house had been sold previously.

Mel and Susan Blaser flew to Sarasota, Florida Saturday, Jan. 22 to attend the Midas Muffler Convention held annually for a week. They reported weather was cold and experienced a tornado and storms on Tuesday, Jan. 25.
