Jason, Karen and Jackson Parchert, Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, have moved back to the Reynolds area. Jason is the son of Shirley Parchert.

Rockridge Home Extension met in the home of Carol Eickson, with 13 members present on Jan. 13, Thursday.

The birthday of Martin Luther King, Jr. was observed, Monday, Jan. 17. Schools and banks were closed.

Joe and Mary Lou DeMarlie, Sunday, Jan. 16, entertained the Elliott Verschoore relatives.

Twelve schools in the Quad Cities and Clinton areas have received each one a Smart Board interactive whiteboard through a Smiles for Education contest sponsored by HyVee. Shoppers purchased Procter and Gamble and Sara Lee products. This earned points for the schools. Reynolds Elementary was one of the winning schools. In addition, one student who earned the most points at the winning school received a Mac-Book Computer. Hy Vee store officials visited each school to present the Smart Board and the computer. The promotion ran from September 1 through November 30.
