Calling all volunteers! Most of the new park equipment for the Seaton Park is to be delivered on Thursday, April 14. The company will assemble the pirate ship but would appreciate help with the mulch. So bring your wheelbarrows, shovels and gloves. Lunch will be provided.

Trenton and Cael Duncan stayed Saturday and overnight with their grandparents, David and Marcia Duncan of the Sunbeam area. They all went into Aledo to eat lunch and visit with Great-Grandmother Ida Duncan.

The Mercer County Softball team played a double header on Saturday against West Central. They won the first game 13-8 and won the second game 8-7. On Monday night against Sherrard, the Golden Eagles lost 0-15. Sherrard is undefeated. On Tuesday, the Golden Eagles traveled to Ridgewood and lost 7-8 in conference play. They will be playing them again at the Aledo Apollo diamond on Thursday night, April 7.

Some of Junior High Mercer County wrestlers went to Cedar Falls to wrestle in USA Wrestling Folkstyle Nationals on the three-day weekend of April 1-3.  Placing in the event from Mercer County were Matthew Weeks 6th, Quinton Ball 6th and Tristen Finch 8th.
