Don Hampton was able to return home from Trinity West Hospital Thursday, April 7, following surgery and a pace maker.
Helen Peterson broke her hip on Tuesday, April 5. After the surgery she is having physical therapy treatment at the hospital, Trinity West.
Susannah Circle met Monday, April 11, at Lucille Elliott's home. Lucille presented the lesson. There were six people to enjoy the meeting.
The Reynolds United Methodist Church has new carpet!! It is a shade of blue. We got to see it April 10.
Saturday, April 9, many people viewed University of Iowa and University of Illinois on TV. Mel and Susan Blaus attended Friday, Saturday and Sunday. The games were played at University of Illinois.
Jeff Henry, Rockridge Junior High math teacher and basketball coach, has been selected by Argus/ Moline Dispatch for the 2011 Master Teacher Award. He is one of 12 teachers selected. The reception, dinner and awards will be at the iWireless Center, Moline on Friday, May 6 at 5:30 p.m. These teachers will be honored in recognition of their service and dedication to educating our youth.
Sunday night, April 10, we had a rainstorm with violent winds. We were without electricity. We had unseasonable weather on Sunday - over 80 degrees. Some people have mowed their lawns, starting the season.
The Reynolds American Legion building now has new glass doors. They were installed this last weekend.
The annual Reynolds American Legion and Auxiliary Easter egg hunt will be Saturday, April 23 at 2 p.m. at the Legion. Ages 0 - 12 years are invited.
Tuesday, April 12, was the final Lenten service at the Reynolds United Methodist Church. Rev. Harry Losey, Hamlet-Perryton Church pastor, delivered the message.
Tami and Troy Clarke and baby Addison, Tonya, Darren, Carson and Drew Hall, Shirley Parchert, Jason, Karen and Jackson Parchert left Friday for Prior Lake, Minn., to attend the wedding on Saturday, April 9 of Tia and Scott Service. Tia is the daughter of Connie Short. They returned home on Sunday.
