(May 1, 2011) Easter Sunday guests of Fred, Marilyn and Cindy Welch were Fred and Susan Welch of Dickinson, Texas; Jen, Rick, Bennett, Frisbey, Jason, Sarah, Riley, Carson, Lucas Horner of Kirkwood; and Jack, Jayme and Onnalee Horner of Monmouth.
Lee, oldest son of Maxine and John Welch, passed away while he and his wife Doris were spending the winter in Texas. Graveside services and military honors were held last Wednesday at the Little York cemetery with Pastor David Dutton officiating.
Wilbur, Donald, Marilyn and Bob Perrin enjoyed Easter dinner at the Maple City Café in Monmouth.
Pat and Mike Fredrickson of Monmouth enjoyed having their daughter Abbey from Elgin join them over Easter weekend.
On Friday, Stacy Hall and her mother Carol Valentine had a Ladies Day when they drove to LeClair and spend time at "American Pickers."
Lyle and Kathleen Worthington visited last weekend in Rochelle with their sons. While there, Kathleen accompanied her daughter-in-law Melody to a meeting of Woman's Connection.
Sue Campbell and her mother, Barbara Conn of Monmouth, spend Sunday afternoon in Carthage at a dance recital, in which Sue's granddaughter, 5-year old Camryn Van-Fleet was a participant.
On Saturday afternoon Marjorie Smith attended a baby shower for Tracy Engstrom at the home of Megan Wright in Monmouth.
The Little Cedar congregation enjoyed having Leo Ramer and the Jr. Ecumenical Singers who provided the worship service on Sunday.
Thursday Bible Study at 1:30 p.m. at Carol Valentine's. The evening study will finish their book, Bad Girls of the Bible, and enjoy a light meal at 6:30 p.m. at Linda Dutton's.
The May Fellowship Breakfast is on Friday, May 6 at 9 a.m. at the Faith Presbyterian Church in Monmouth.
The Little Cedar Courtyard service is Saturday May 7 at 10 a.m.
