Francis and Donna Mack came home Tuesday, May 3, from visiting their daughter and granddaughter in North and South Carolina. They enjoyed their stay of three weeks.

Wednesday May 11, Antioch Baptist Church will serve the 62nd Annual Golden Wedding Anniversary Dinner. Reservation committee are Lois and Hank Gray, Sue and Francis Vroman and Rachel and Roger Birkhead.

We extend our sympathy to the family of Donna Millett and family of Orville Minteer.

On Saturday, May 7, Merrill and Mary Allen celebrated Mother's Day in LeClaire.

Honoring their mother were Jeff, Monica and Allison Limeburg and Phil Limeburg.

Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Curtis celebrated Mother's Day with their daughters and family relatives at the Rock in Coal Valley.

Harold Blaser's barn burned Saturday, May 7.

Don and Eileen Hampton celebrated with a brunch for Mother's Day with their son Al and Denise Hampton. The guests were their family and first grandchild.

Marge Lloyd celebrated Mother's Day with Steve Lloyd and family at the Aledo Country Club, Sunday May 8.

Marilyn Kranz entertained her family for Mother's Day on Sunday.

Francis and Donna Mack had Mother's Day brunch with Connie McKinley, Amanda Pickett, Carol and Jason Lewis. Monsignor Tom Mack from Pontiac joined them in the afternoon.

Frank Jones and Myrna Matlick went to the Beaux Arts Fair in Davenport and out to supper Sunday, May 8. Kyle, Tina and Tanner Matlick came over for the afternoon.

Leslie, Damon and Carter Anthony entertained Mary and Leonard Knox, Dan, Fran and Derrick Anthony at Moon River for Mother's Day Sunday, May 8.

Marvin and Nancy Remrey, and Kari Morrison celebrated Mother's Day at The Lodge in Bettendorf.

Bonnie and Dick Curry entertained their son, Marty, on Mother's Day and visited Inez and Jerry Rushton at Manor Care in Bettendorf. Connie Schnoor and grandchildren were also guests.

Jeff, Jane and Anna Olten, Helen Phillips and Cam and Weldon ate Mothers's Day dinner in Davenport.

Dianne Vershoore, Coralee Krueger, Jill and Lily Schriner spent Mother's Day weekend in Bloomington and Champaign, with Mike and Wendy Dwinal and boys.

Ken and Cindy Flack celebrated Mother's Day with a cookout. Guests were Brad Flack and family, East Moline, Michelle and Jerry Baker, Abingdon and their daughter-in-law, Angie, Asa and Avery Stegel.

Sunday, May 8 was Senior Day at University of Iowa. Tyson Blaser played baseball. The score was tied (1-1) at the end of the ninth inning, so it was overtime. The other team was Penn State. With the bases loaded, the run to right field won the game for the Iowa Hawkeyes. Mr.  Mrs. Augie Kerres, Mr. & Mrs. Pat Begyn, Mr. & Mrs. Dustin Begyn, Allison and Rollin, Mr. & Mrs. Mel and Betty Blaser, Mr. & Mrs. Mel and Susan Blaser, Beulah Venable, Mr. & Mrs. Frank Venable, Chelsy Oak, Tucker Blaser, Anna Gulbrandsen, Emily Wynn, Holley Begyn, and Dalton Armstrong attended. Each senior was presented a plaque from the university. Tyson Blaser was presented a watch for outstanding academics and for athletic achievements.

Susannah Circle met at the Reynolds United Methodist Church Monday, May 9 with six members present. Virginia Moffitt was hostess. Cindy Flack presented the lesson.

The yard sales Saturday May 7 were a success. The rummage sale was at the church and food at the Reynolds Legion Building.
